Valuable Career Lessons from Thomas Edison

As a young boy, Thomas Alva Edison was home-schooled by his mother and by the age of 12, he was selling newspapers and candies to train passengers. Edison took on different jobs as he grew up in order to support his parents and himself.

Although he faced several ups and downs in life, nothing stopped him from devising and carrying out experiments and presenting new inventions to the world, with the most famous being the electric light bulb.

Even as we commemorate Edison's death anniversary this week (18 Oct), Edison will always be remembered as a scientist constantly in tireless pursuit of new inventions, and his life story presents many lessons we can profitably apply to the workplace. (Read More Here!)
